Squadron Hours:

Squadron’s official hours are 1830--2100 hrs, on Tuesday nights.
If there is an urgent matter outside of these hours that requires immediate and prompt attention and cannot wait until the following Tuesday, call the squadron at 613-704-9284 and leave a message. Your call will be returned within 24 hours.

Survey - French Language Squadron

There is a project to open a new French squadron in the Ottawa region.
To gather information on the response and viability of this project Cadets, Parents, SSC and Staff across Ottawa are each asked to fill out this short survey.
1. Questions and Answers are available in both official languages.
2. The survey takes less than 5 minutes and is anonymous.

1. There will be a Commanding Officer’s Parade at 2020hrs in the gym. Please join us in bidding farewell to WO2 Montreuil as he leaves to begin his new career in the Canadian Armed Forces. Additionally, some promotions will be made.

1. Attention Glider Course Candidates: You will be writing your glider entrance exam on 14 Feb 24 at ESCE during the normal Ground School session. If you have a laptop and wish to use it for the exam, please bring it along. If you do not have a laptop, please inform CI Maxwell or CI Cameron and a laptop will be set up for you.

1. To provide an opportunity for Air Cadets to increase their self-confidence; and increase their ability to reason, organize and express ideas;
2. To promote the citizenship component of local squadron training;
3. To provide a focus at the Local, Regional/Wing, Provincial/Territorial, and National levels, to promote and encourage Air Cadets to participate in an optional activity that will provide them with an opportunity to acquire effective speaking skills through instruction and practice in a structured and competitive environment;
4. To increase public awareness regarding the citizenship and leadership aspects of the Air Cadet program at the national, provincial and local levels.

Details:
1. 5 Cyclone, in conjunction with 832 Twilick Squadron, will be participating in an Emergency First Aid course.
  1. Both squadrons can send up to 18 cadets, for a course total of 36.
2. At the end of the day, cadets will be qualified Emergency First Aiders and eligible to wear the corresponding badge on their uniform.
