Help Today's Youth Become Tomorrow's Leaders
Sponsorship Opportunity:
The unique opportunity of becoming a sponsor for our 5squadron cadets is in your grasp. The squadron was created in 2005 in Russell, Ontario. It has since proven to be a solid and well established organization. We are very proud of the achievements and the hard work of all our cadets that has lead them to be fine young citizens.
Your sponsorship will help the squadron succeed and to train to their fullest potential and compete at the highest levels in drill, biathlon, public speaking, band as well as develop survival skills during camp (FTX). Just like any other organization we also have expenses such as monthly rental space for our weekly practices, replacing old/used equipment, competition fees, transport, food…
Since the squadron is still a comparatively small one, our funds are limited and we function on a small budget. In order to raise funds, we organize local tag days, bottle drives and rely deeply on our sponsors. We have since developed a solid relationship with the Knights of Columbus in Embrunand help the veterans with their fund raising. Supporting the Russell Legion is another way that the squadron gives back to the community as well a visiting and helping people in need, either by visiting an old age home or keeping the streets clean by planting flowers or even collecting non-perishable food for the Embrun Food Bank.
We would be grateful if you would join hands with us in these endeavors. This sponsorship would include a number of opportunities for business exposure such as displaying your advertising material in prominent places we host or attend such as parades and displaying your logo and contact information to our website as well as pamphlets and schedules that we hand out during events. We will be happy to share any pamphlets, business cards or any other advertisement that you think would benefit your business. We do hope that this is something you might be willing to consider. We can provide you with further details and we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you further. Thank you for your consideration.
Donations:
Help us help them! No donation is too small and will make the world of a difference. The Sponsoring Committee holds various fundraising events throughout the year to support additional training and optional activities that are not funded by the Department of National Defence (DND).
Donations can be made directly to the squadron by contacting the sponsor committee chair.
5 Cyclone Squadron is a registered not-for-profit group and can supply charitable donation receipts. You can also donate through the United Way Campaign (With this generous gesture, you are supporting the United Way campaign as well as our organization). We thank you for your consideration.
Volunteer:
Volunteering plays a vital transforming role in society, everyone has something to offer!
We are always looking for new ideas, experience and skills for our cadets. We would welcome the opportunity of discussing with you your ideas and thoughts on how to add to this wonderful organization.
Support is always welcome either it be on a one-time basis for specific activities, on an on-going basis for sub-committees or event with outings or competitions. Perhaps you'd like to come help with the bush camp, or supervise your son or daughter during tag days. There are different ways that you can get involved; for specific activities, there will be sign-up sheets in the gym; however, to indicate that you are willing to help in other ways, please talk to the Chair of the Sponsor Committee.
We are extremely grateful for all your help.
THANK YOU!
