Squadron Hours:  
  1. Squadron official hours are 1830 - 2130hrs, on Tuesday nights.  
  2. If there is an urgent matter outside of these hours, call Capt Martel at 613-791-1008. 
 
COVID Case Reporting: Cadets who receive a positive COVID test result must contact Capt Martel as soon as possible at 613-791-1008 or via email.  
 
COVID-19 Screening:  
  1. Prior to leaving home, each cadet must complete this COVID-19 Screening; 
  2. If the screening result is “go to school/childcare,” go to Squadron Training; 
  3. Otherwise, stay home and advise Admin by filling out this form.

Regular Training Night (In-person)  
  1. Participant(s): All Cadets 
  2. OPI: Capt Willis  
  3. Date: Tue, 31 May 22 
  4. Time: 1845-2100hrs 
  5. Location: École secondaire catholique Embrun, 1276 St Jacques Rd, Embrun, ON K0A 1W0 
  6. Dress:   
    1. C-3B Service Dress (Summer) with wedge and mask; or 
    2. White shirt and dark colored pants and mask if the cadet has not been issued their uniform. 
  7. Materials:   
    1. Bring writing materials such as a pen and notebook; and 
    2. Bring a water bottle (use of water fountains is not permitted). 
  8. Questions: Write to your level officer by clicking on their name:   
    1. Level 1: Lt Rozon (Newly registered cadets are in level 1) 
    2. Level 2: CI Caswell 
    3. Level 3: CI Cameron

  1. Participant(s): All cadets

  3. Date: Thu, 2 Jun 22  
  4. Time: 1900 - 2100hrs  
  5. Location: École secondaire catholique Embrun, 1276 St Jacques Rd, Embrun, ON K0A 1W0 
  6.  Dress:  
    1. C-3 Service Dress with wedge; and 
    2. Mandatory mask. 
  7. Materials: Bring a water bottle (use of water fountains is not permitted); 

 
Level 4 Aviation Assessment (Virtual)  
  1. Participant(s): Level 4 Cadets 
  2. OPI: CI Deblois 
  3. Due: Mon, 13 June 22 
  4. Details: 
    1. Level 4 cadets have received an email with instructions for completing their self-led aviation content via Google Classroom. 
    2. Cadets have until 2359hrs on 13 June 22 to submit their final exam via Google Classroom. 
    3. Failure to complete this training will result in an incomplete training level and will disqualify the cadet from promotion for the 2021-2022 training year.  
  5. Questions: 
    1. Level 4 cadets who are experiencing issues with their training are to write to their Level Officer, CI Deblois. 
 
Annual Ceremonial Review (In-person)  
  1. Participant(s):
    1. ​All Cadets 
    2. Family and Friends (seating will be offered in the stands)
  2. OPI: Lt Rozon 
  3. Date: Tue, 14 June 22 
  4. Time:
    1. ​Cadets: Arrival 1800hrs 
    2. Family and Friends: Seated  by 1915hrs
    3. Ceremony Begins:  1930hrs
    4. Ceremony Ends:  2100hrs
  5. Location: Embrun Arena, Blais St, Embrun, ON K0A 1W0 
  6. Dress:   
    1. C-1A Service Dress with wedge and mask; or 
    2. White shirt and dark colored pants and mask if the cadet has not been issued their uniform. 
  7. Materials:   Bring a water bottle (use of water fountains is not permitted). 
 
 
Chairperson’s Award 
  1. Applicants: Any cadet who meets the following criteria: 
  2. Be less than 19 years of age before October 31st of the year of nomination. 
  3. Be a full-time student. 
  4. Have, at the time of the application, a minimum rank of Flight Sergeant and have completed level IV Air Cadet Training. 
  5. Note that applications will be due in mid-June, if you are currently a Sgt you may be promoted to FSgt before the application deadline.   
  6. Expression of Interest: Write to 5aviation@cadets.gc.ca if you are interested in applying for the Chairperson’s Award.   
  7. Details: The Chairman’s Award serves to reward a cadet who, by his/her actions, societal involvement and leadership, represents the values of the Air Cadet League. The recipient will demonstrate that he/she is capable of sharing his/her ideas and experiences in the community. The winner will have shown the ability to accomplish these ideas and to rally others to implement a project. The recipient will also demonstrate the necessary confidence to be an ambassador of the Air Cadet League in the community and among his/her peers.
