Squadron Hours: 
  1. Squadron official hours are 1830 - 2130 hrs, on Tuesday nights.  
  2. If you send an email outside of this period, it may take a few days to obtain a response. We appreciate your patience as our staff have full-time jobs and families.  
  3. If there is an urgent matter that needs to be addressed, do not hesitate to contact Capt Martel at 613-791-1008.

COVID Case Reporting 
  1. Cadets who receive a positive COVID test result must contact Capt Martel as soon as possible at 613-791-1008 or  christine.martel@cadets.gc.ca

Regular Training Night  (In-person) 
  1. Participant(s): All Cadets
  2. OPI: Capt Willis 
  3. Date: Tue, 29 Mar 22
  4. Time: 1845-2100 hrs
  5. Location: 
    1. All cadets in all levels: École secondaire catholique Embrun 1276 St Jacques Rd, Embrun, ON K0A 1W0
    2. Upon arrival, parents are to park and stay in their car. 
    3. Cadets are to use the rear entrance.
  6. Dress:  
    1. Field Training Uniform (FTU) with wedge and mask; or
    2. White shirt and dark coloured pants and mask if the cadet hasn’t yet been issued FTUs
  7. Details:   
    1. COVID-19 Screening: 
      1. Prior to leaving home, each cadet must complete this COVID-19 Screening;
      2. If the screening result is “go to school/child care”, go to Squadron Training;
      3. Otherwise, stay home and advise Admin by filling out this form.
  8. Materials:  
    1. Bring writing materials such as a pen and notebook; and
    2. Bring a water bottle (use of water fountains is not permitted).
  9. Parents:  
    1. For reasons of contact tracing, parents must remain in their vehicles when dropping off their cadet. 
    2. If parents have questions, staff members will be available in the parking lot to answer them.

Personal Development Sessions (In-person) 
  1. Participant(s): Interested cadets in Level 5
  2. OPI: Capt Willis 
  3. Date: Multiple dates, see below.
  4. Time: 1845-2000 hrs
  5. Location: MS Teams
  6. Dress: FTUs
  7. Details:
    1. Multiple sessions are being offered in collaboration with 872 Squadron:
      1. Wed 30 March - Discussion on functional leadership lead by MWO Harper;
      2. Wed 6 Apr - Session on financial literacy and credit lead by a financial advisor; and
      3. Wed 20 Apr - Session on developing resumes and cover letters.
    2. Level 5 Cadets who register will be emailed a link to each MS Teams meeting.
    3. These sessions are completely optional, but available to any Level 5 who wishes to attend. 
To Register: Interested Level 5 cadets shall write to Capt Willis.


Ground School (Virtual):

Drill Team  (In-person - cancelled) 
Drill team is canceled this week will resume on April 7, 2022 at at École secondaire catholique Embrun
 
Biathlon Training  (In-person - stood down for the Spring thaw)
 
Marksmanship (In-person) 
  1. Participant(s):   All Cadets who are interested
  2. OPI:  Lt Rozon
  3. Date: Sat, 2 Apr 22 
  4. Time: 1500 - 1800 hrs  
  5. Dress: C-5 (FTUs) 
  6. Location: Paul-Émile Levésque Centre, 756 Brebeuf St, Casselman, ON K0A 1M0 
  7. Details: Cadets are to wear outdoor footwear to and from the activity and change into their indoor footwear once on site. Bring food and drinks.
 
Cadet365 - Virtual Office Hours to Support Cadet Onboarding 
 
  1. Participants:  Level 4+ cadets
  2. Dates and time:  Initial sessions are scheduled from 1830-2130hr EDT on:
    1. Thursday, March, 24th
    2. Thursday, March, 31st
  3. Location: MS Teams
  4. Details:
    1. All Level 4+ cadets have been sent their Cadets365 credentials on onboarding material. 
    2. The IT SMC will be offering virtual office hours to assist cadets with onboarding to Cadet365. Those sessions are in place to assist cadets who may be experiencing trouble with certain steps of the initial onboarding process. 
    3. Before joining the meeting cadets:
      1. should attempt the login process themselves by following the steps/resources available on Canada.ca and consult the frequently asked questions

Spring FTX (In-person) 
  1. Participant(s):   All Cadets - MANDATORY
  2. OPI:  Lt Rozon
  3. Dates: Sat, 30 Apr 22 and Sun, 1 May 22 
  4. Time:
    1. Drop off at 0745hrs at Embrun Arena 6 Blais road, Embrun BOTH DAYS
    2. Pickup at 1745hrs at Embrun Arena 6 Blais road, Embrun BOTH DAYS
  5. Dress: C-5 (FTUs) or equivalent civilian dress.
  6. Location: MacSkimming Pioneer Village, 3685 Wilhaven Dr, Cumberland, ON K4C 1J7
  7. Details: Operations Order and kit list to follow.
