• Squadron official hours are 1830 – 2100 hrs, on Tuesday nights.

Welcome Back BBQ

   1. Please join us for a Welcome Back BBQ to kick off the 2023/2024 training year!
   2. We hope everyone has had a safe and restful, yet fun, summer.  We look forward to seeing all returning cadets and their families at our Welcome Back BBQ.
   3. The Administration section will be distributing the Annual Validation Forms (AVF).  Cadets must return their AVF to Admin staff (OCdt Caswell or CV Nadeau) within two weeks of receipt.

 
Fall Gliding 

1. Participant(s):  Maximum 20 cadets

5. Location:  Smiths Falls Airport
   1. Cadets will be transported via bus to and from Smiths Falls
6. Dress: Civilian attire. 
7. Details: 
   1. There is only room for 30 cadets to attend. Priority will be given to cadets who did not attend in May 2023. A waitlist will be formed as necessary.

Regular Training - Rescope Information Session

1. Participant(s):  All returning cadets and their parents/guardians.

4. Time:  1830 – 2100 hrs
5. Location:  ESCE Cafeteria - 1276 St Jacques Rd, Embrun, ON K0A 1W0
6. Dress: C5 - FTU
7. Details:
   1. The Training section will be delivering an information session on the cadet program rescope to all returning cadets and their parents/guardians.
   2. Very important information will be given regarding the rescope and how training and training requirements will work going forward.
8. Materials:
   1. Writing materials such as a pen and notebook; and
   2. Water bottle.

 
AERO Gatineau-Ottawa Airshow

1. Participant(s):  First 12 Cadets who sign-up
2. OPI:  CI Maxwell
3. Date:  Sat, 16 Sep 23
4. Time:  TBC (all-day expected, i.e. 0800 – 1800 hrs)
5. Location:  Gatineau Airport
6. Transportation: Provided, more to follow.
7. Dress:  C3C
8. Meals:
   1. Not Provided.  Cadets must bring their own lunch.
   2. Food vendors will be on-site, should Cadets wish to purchase food.
9. Details:
   1. A military and civil aircraft air show as well as booths on the trades and companies related to aeronautics will be held on September 16 on the Gatineau airport site.
   2. Coordinated participation from the 10 squadrons in the Ottawa/Gatineau zone.
   3. Cadets will visit static aircraft, trade kiosks, meet personnel from aeronautics industry and view various aerial demonstrations.
