Absent?  Unable to attend a class or activity?  Report your absence here and you will be marked as Absent Excused (AE).

Squadron Hours:
  1. Squadron official hours are 1830 – 2130 hrs, on Tuesday nights.
  2. If there is an urgent matter outside of these hours that requires immediate and prompt attention and cannot wait until the following Tuesday, contact the Commanding Officer, Capt Willis at rachel.willis@cadets.gc.ca.

COVID Case Reporting:  Cadets who receive a positive COVID test result must contact Capt Willis as soon as possible via email.

COVID-19 Screening:
  1. Prior to leaving home for every cadet activity, each cadet must complete this COVID-19 Screening;
    1. Cadets must complete the COVID-19 screening for every event (including but not limited to regular training, ground school, drill team, marksmanship, biathlon, trips, etc.).
  2. If the screening result is “go to school/childcare,” go to Squadron Training;
  3. Otherwise, stay home and advise Admin by filling out this form.

Effective Speaking
  1. Participant(s):  All interested cadets
  2. OPI:  OCdt Caswell
  3. Date:  Mon, 23 Jan 23
  4. Time:  1830 – 2000 hrs   
  5. Location:
    1. MS Teams
  6. Materials:
    1. Your Effective Speaking Workbook;
    2. Writing materials such as a pen and notebook or laptop;
    3. Your prepared speech;
    4. A bottle of water; and
    5. Your voice.
  7. Details:
    1. To provide an opportunity for Air Cadets to increase their self-confidence; and increase their ability to reason, organize and express ideas;
    2. To promote the citizenship component of local squadron training;
    3. To provide a focus at the Local, Regional/Wing, Provincial/Territorial, and National levels, to promote and encourage Air Cadets to participate in an optional activity that will provide them with an opportunity to acquire effective speaking skills through instruction and practice in a structured and competitive environment;
    4. To increase public awareness regarding the citizenship and leadership aspects of the Air Cadet program at the national, provincial and local levels.

Regular Training & CO’s Parade
  1. Participant(s):  All Cadets
  2. OPI:  Lt Rozon
  3. Date:  Tue, 24 Jan 23
  4. Time:  1845 – 2100 hrs
  5. Location:
    1. Marionville Community Centre 4629 Gregoire Rd Russell, ON
  6. Dress: 
    1. C1 - Ceremonial; or
    2. Dress shirt and dark coloured pants if the cadet hasn’t yet been issued their uniform.
  7. Details:          
    1. COVID-19 Screening:
      1. Prior to leaving home, each cadet must complete this COVID-19 Screening;
      2. If the screening result is “go to school/child care”, go to Squadron Training;
      3. Otherwise, stay home and advise Admin by filling out this form.
    2. Parents are welcome to attend the Commanding Officer’s Parade during 3rd period. Please arrive NLT 2000hrs.
  8. Materials: 
    1. Bring writing materials such as a pen and notebook; and
    2. Bring a water bottle.

Ground School
Cancelled for Wednesday, 24 Jan 22.  Next Class will be 31 Jan 22.
 
Drill Team - CANCELLED
  1. Drill Team for this week has been cancelled due to inclement weather.

Pipes & Drums Music
  1. Participant(s):  Any cadet interested
  2. OPI:  832 Squadron
    1. Lt Rozon is our liaison between the units.  Please direct questions to him, and he will ensure that they are forwarded to the instructors.
  3. Date: Sat, 28 Jan 23
  4. Time: 0900 – 1100 hrs
  5. Location:
    1. Clarence-Creek Arena – 418 Lemay St, Clarence Creek, ON K0A 1N0
  6. Dress:
    1. Conservative civilian attire.
  7. Details:
    1. 832 Squadron has graciously offered our cadets the opportunity to participate in their Pipes and Drums Music Program
    2. The Cadet Music Program involves instruction in theory, performance, sight-reading and instrument maintenance.
    3. Cadets will have the opportunity to learn percussion instruments or the bagpipes.
  8. Materials:
    1. Bring writing materials such as a pen and notebook;
    2. Bring a water bottle; and
    3. Your instrument (if you have one issued by 5 Cyclone).

Biathlon
  1. Participant(s):  Cadets who sign up
  2. OPI:  Lt Rozon
  3. Date:  Sat, 28 Jan 22
  4. Time:  1300 – 1600 hrs
  5. Location:  P7 Larose Forest Cross-Country Ski Trail
  6. Dress:
    1. Appropriate sportswear for the weather (bring layers) and a hat.
    2. Bring a full water bottle, a small towel, all contained inside a small backpack.
 
Marksmanship
  1. Next marksmanship date is 04 Feb 23 for Team Members only.
