Absent? Unable to attend a class or activity? Report your absence here and you will be marked as Absent Excused (AE). 
 
Squadron Hours: 
  • Squadron official hours are 1830 - 2130hrs, on Tuesday nights. 
  • If there is an urgent matter outside of these hours that requires immediate and prompt attention and cannot wait until the following Tuesday, contact the Commanding Officer, Capt Willis at rachel.willis@cadets.gc.ca. 
 
COVID Case Reporting:  Cadets who receive a positive COVID test result must contact Capt Willis as soon as possible via email. 
 
COVID-19 Screening: 
  • Prior to leaving home for every cadet activity, each cadet must complete this COVID-19 Screening; 
    • Cadets must complete the COVID-19 screening for every event (including but not limited to regular training, ground school, drill team, marksmanship, biathlon, trips, etc.). 
  • If the screening result is “go to school/childcare,” go to Squadron Training; 
  • Otherwise, stay home and advise Admin by filling out this form.

Effective Speaking 
  1. The Effective Speaking program has concluded for the 2022-2023 Training Year. 
    1. We wish WO2 Montreuil the best of luck at the area competition on 26 March! 
 
Regular Training 
  1. NO TRAINING ON 14 MARCH DUE TO MARCH BREAK 
    1. The next Training Night is on 21 March.  
 
Ground School 
  1. NO GROUND SCHOOL ON 15 MARCH DUE TO MARCH BREAK 
    1. The next Ground School class will be held on 22 March. 
  
Drill Team

  5. Dress: 
    1. Conservative (appropriate) civilian attire. 
      1. Please no clothing with rips or tears. 
    2. ​Cadets may bring a small bag into the Senate and House of Commons that will be subject to a security check. Cadets who wish to bring a larger bag for the day will have the option to leave it on the bus during the tours.
  6. Location: 
    1. Drop Off:  0845hrs at École secondaire catholique Embrun 1276 St Jacques Rd, Embrun, ON K0A 1W0; 
    2. Pick Up:  2030hrs at École secondaire catholique Embrun 1276 St Jacques Rd, Embrun, ON K0A 1W0. 
  7. Details: 
    1. The day will begin with tours of the Senate and House of Commons, followed by lunch, a visit to the Aviation and Space Museum, and finishes off with laser tag and a Burger King dinner; 
    2. Cadets must bring lunch from home, but dinner will be provided; 
    3. There is no cost to the cadet. 
  8. Sign-up:  
    1. Cadets must sign-up in order to have accurate numbers. 
      1. Cadets who signed-up and do not show-up may be prevented from attending other optional activities before having a conversation with the Commanding Officer. 
    2. Sign-ups closed at 2359 hrs on 7 Mar 23. 
 
Summer Training Applications 
  1. Participant(s): Interested Cadets 
  2. OPI: OCdt Caswell 
  3. Details: 
    1. Cadets who wish to apply for summer training shall fill out this form. 
    2. Please note the following: 
      1. Cadets in Levels 1 and 2 may only apply for the Cadet Activity Programs (CAPs), CAP-1 and CAP-2 respectively. 
      2. Cadets in Levels 3 and up may apply for Cadet Training Centre (CTC) courses. 
    3. More information on summer training can be found by clicking here. 
  4. Notes: 
    1. Not every cadet will attend summer training. An application does not guarantee selection. 
    2. Applications are due via the form no later than 2359hrs on 14 March. 
      1. Please note the change in deadline. 
        1. We have received new information that will change the application process.  
      2. CAP-1 and CAP-2 will be held at HMCS Carleton.  
      3. Transportation is likely to be provided.  
    3. More information will be provided as it is received. At the time, the only dates we have received are those indicated on the application form for CAP-1 and CAP-2.
