  6. Dress: Conservative civilian attire and bring your parade boots and wedge.

Biathlon Practice
  1. Participant(s):  Biathlon Cadets.

  3. Date: Sat, 18 Jan 20
  4. Time: 0845-1400 hrs 
  5. Location: Camp Fortune Biathlon Training site, 300 Chemin Dunlop, Chelsea, QC J9B 2N3
  6. Dress: Appropriate sports attire for the weather (layers), an extra pair of socks and footwear, a toque and gloves.
  7. Material: 
    1. Bring ski equipment.
    2. Lunch, snacks, and a water bottle. 
    3. Cadets must be in possession of their Health Card at all times during practices or competitions
  8. Transportation: Parents are responsible for transportation.  Carpooling is encouraged.
  9. Team Duties: For the good performance of the site, units will be responsible for a different cleaning task every week:
    1. Pick up weapons, 
    2. Cleaning of weapons, 
    3. Cleaning Range, 
    4. Cleaning the facilities, 
    5. Cleaning washroom, 
    6. Storage of skis, poles and boots.
National Glider Exam

Regional Biathlon Competition

    1. Sat, 25 Jan 20 : Participation Biathletes - Cadets who are not ready or able to complete the full 5-8km competition course within the 30 minute time limit.
    2. Sun, 26 Jan 20: Competition Biathletes - Cadets who are able to complete the full 5-8km competition course within the 30 minute time limit.

  4. Timings: 
    1. Depart Embrun Arena: 0745 hrs
    2. Arrive at Edelweiss: 0900 hrs
    3. Start skiing/tubing: 1000 hrs
    4. Last run: 1530 hrs
    5. Depart Edelweiss: 1600
    6. Arrive Embrun Arena: 1800 hrs
  5. Location: 538 Ch Edelweiss, Wakefield, QC J0X 3G0
  6. Dress: Appropriate attire for the weather (layers), an extra pair of socks and footwear, a toque and gloves.
  7. Material: 
    1. Bring ski equipment.
  8. Transportation: Bus from Embrun Arena, 6 Blais Street to Wakefield, 
  9. Notes: Will offer the option of tubing/Skiing/snowboarding. Only those with ski or snowboarding experience will be permitted to do so. No lesson provided.
Regional Winter FTX
  1. Participant(s):  Interested Cadets (Level 3+, up to 15)

  4. Date: 7-9 Feb, 2020
  5. Timings: 
    1. Depart Embrun Arena: 1745 hrs 
    2. Return Embrun Arena: 1530 hrs
  6. Transportation: Bus from Embrun Arena, 6 Blais Street to Tucker Lake in Low, Quebec
  7. LOANED TO EACH CADET: 
    1. Military sleeping bag, bag liner and air mattress.
  8. SPARE EQUIPMENT
    1. Extra Parkas, winter boots and mittens will be available for emergency use.
  9. FORBIDDEN ARTICLES :
    1. Matches, Lighters, cigarettes, drugs, alcohol, electronic devices, food or knife with a blade longer than 4 inches.
  10. Dress: Conservative, weather appropriate civilian outdoor dress.
  11. Meals: Provided, mix of MREs and fresh meals. Please eat supper on Friday before getting on the bus.

  13.  Notes: This activity will be offered only to Cadets level 3 and up. This activity will aim at training Cadets in a winter survival situation and deliver the complementary winter exercise program. It will also be a great opportunity to get to know other units of the Ottawa Valley.
Staff Cadet Applications

  4. Eligibility: Interested cadets must be 16 years of age by 01 Jan 20 and have completed Level 4 training by the end of the 2019-2020 training year.
