  4. Location:  Embrun Arena - 6 Blais St, Embrun, ON K0A 1W0
  5. Details:
    1. After you drop your cadet off for the Awards Parade, we ask parents to please join us in the main lobby of the arena where we will be holding our annual Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC) elections.  We will be serving coffee and goodies, and it’s a great chance to meet the SSC, ask any questions, and raise a hand if you would like to volunteer.  Even as little as an hour a month to help keep our Cadet Program running.
    2. What is the SSC?
      1. The SSC is a non-profit charitable organization that is responsible for providing financial and other necessary support to the squadron.   Without a sponsoring committee, there is no squadron. We ensure the cadets have somewhere to train and parade on Tuesday nights and that they have access to items like instruments for band, skis for biathlon, and rifles for marksmanship. In addition, our Effective Speaking program is often run by the committee. We also organize parent volunteers for simple things requiring a much lower level of time commitment, such as supervising cadets when they are in the community doing fundraising. Some of our members have many hours to give, some only are able to give a few hours a year. All are welcome and very much appreciated, no matter the time they are able to spare.
