Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
 
  1. Participant(s): Any cadets interested in becoming a participant in the Award
  2. OPI:  Capt Martel 
  3. Dates: 
    1. Self-paced with planned group activities.
    2. Meetings are held when required.
  4. Location: Varies
  5. Description:  
    1. You may have noticed 3 cadets receiving their Bronze Level of the Duke of Ed Award.  They completed challenges beginning in August of 2020 and completed the Award, even during COVID!

Staff Positions at Virtual Cadet Training Centre (VCTC) - Charlie

    1. Cadets who will be staffing on VCTC-Charlie:

  3. Dates: 28 Jun - 14 Aug 21
  4. Location: Virtual
  5. Description:  Cadets will receive joining instructions, 2 weeks prior to the beginning of their course.  If they do not receive these instructions by that time, they should reach out to 2Lt Rozon.

    2. Once the selection is made, the list of participants will be notified.

  3. Date: Sat, 17 July 21 
  4. Time: 0830-1130hrs
  5. Location: Salaberry Armoury, 188 Alexandre Taché Blvd, Hull, Gatineau, Quebec
  6. Description: The marksmanship clinics will allow cadets to develop their marksmanship skills. At some sites, it will be possible for cadets to shoot
on SIUS electronic targets.

  5. Transportation: Cadets will be expected to travel to the local assembly site daily and return home in the late afternoon by their own means.

    1. Cadet Activities Programs (or CAP) will offer activities held in your community. During five days, you will have the opportunity to live experiences related to the local training program. Here is an overview of possible activities:
      1. Sports activities
      2. Marksmanship activities
      3. Military drill training
      4. Geocaching
      5. Element specific day
      6. Teamwork training
      7. And much more!

Supply on Stand-down

Description:  Due to further restrictions being placed on the physical delivery of the program, all in-person Supply functions (including curbside pick-ups and contactless home delivery) have been suspended.  As our options continue to change, further updates regarding resumption of Supply issues, returns and exchanges will be posted.
