CAP Activity

  4. Description: Spring Break Cadet Activity Program (CAP) has been moved to April. ​The decision was made to hold the CAP Program for Ottawa in a Virtual Format. Challenges will be able to be made on the cadets own time. Conferences will be held every day at 1300hrs for an hour to an hour and 1/2. On April 14 (Wednesday) there is a conference opened to all cadets, not just those participating in the CAP from a Chinook pilot, at 1900hrs

Supply Update – Resuming Curbside Pick-up

  3. Description:
Supply has now been given the “all clear” to resume curbside pick-ups.  A similar model to what was used for FTUs will be implemented with a few exceptions:
  1. Cadets will be contacted via email by the Supply Officer when a full or partial order is available to be picked-up.
  2. Curbside pick-ups will be scheduled using a new google form where cadets will select from available evenings. This form will be provided by the Supply Officer when an order is filled.


  1. All cadets are now able to:
1.  Order the initial issue of their FTU and blue uniform (if they haven't already received it)
2.  Order replacement items for their uniforms they have in their possession (including cold weather gear, badges and accessories)
3. Request a curbside pick-up and receive their ordered items

  2. Description: Spring Break will take place April 10th to 18th (inclusive) to align with the province’s decision to postpone the mid-winter break. This includes the upcoming Cadet Activity Program (CAP) which has also been moved to April. There are still a few openings available for this Camp. The decision was made to hold the CAP Program for Ottawa in a Virtual Format. Challenges will be able to be made on the cadets own time. Conferences will be held every day at 1300hrs for an hour to an hour and 1/2.

  1. Participant(s):  Mandatory for all cadets who are new to the squadron this year and for all those in their second year who were unable to receive marksmanship training last year. Open to all Cadets.

Supply on Stand-down - ordering system is live
  1. Participant(s):  All Cadets

Description: While Supply remains on "stand-down" for the distribution of uniforms until further notice, we have now reopened online ordering.  While further information regarding distribution of orders will follow in the coming weeks, cadets are now encourage to access the new form to place their orders
  4. All cadets are now able to:
  1. Order the initial issue of their FTU and blue uniform (if they haven't already received it)
  2. Order replacement items for their uniforms they have in their possession (including cold weather gear, badges and accessories)
 
Parent and Committee Meeting

  6. Description: Monthly meeting of the 5 Cyclone sponsoring committee.  Parents are highly encouraged to come.
 
April Break
  1. Date: 10-18 April 21
  2. Description: Spring Break will take place April 10th to 18th (inclusive) to align with the province’s decision to postpone the mid-winter break. This includes the upcoming Cadet Activity Program (CAP) which has also been moved to April. There will still be training on March 16th. Go to Activity Sign-ups to register.
