Summer Training Information - 2023
Staff Cadet Applications
- Eligibility: Cadets have turned 16 years of age or older by 1 Jan 2023 are eligible to apply.
- Deadline: Applications are due NLT 2359hrs on 21 Feb 23.

- To apply for a staff cadet position, fill out this form.
- Details:
- Cadets have the opportunity to apply for employment outside of the Regional Cadet Support Unit - Eastern (RCSU(E)), however, priority is given to cadets who reside within the destination Region. For example, cadets who are a part of RSCU - Pacific will have priority for positions at HMCS Quadra or Vernon CTCs.
- Staff cadets receive an advanced training allocation between $86 and $114 per day depending on their rank. Cadets applying for staff may not be less than 16 years of age as of the first day of January of the year of advanced training.

Summer Training Applications
The majority of applications for cadets to attend summer training in the summer of 2023 are not yet open. This page will be updated once more information has been received by the squadron staff.

International Air Cadet Exchange (IACE)
- Eligibility:
- Cadets who wish to apply must:
- Be 16 years of age or older by the start of the exchange;
- Have completed Proficiency Level Four; and
- Have achieved the rank of Sgt or higher.
- Cadets who wish to apply must:
- Deadline: Applications are due NLT 2359hrs on 21 Feb 23.
- To apply:
- Cadets who are interested in applying for the IACE must email 5aviation@cadets.gc.ca NLT 21 Feb 23 with their choice of destination (UK or USA).
- Details
- The purpose of the IACE is to promote friendship and goodwill among Air Cadets of the participating countries, to encourage participants to develop an interest in international affairs, and to reward those Air Cadets who have rendered outstanding services to the Squadrons over a period of years.
- The IACE is intended only for outstanding senior Cadets who will represent Canada with distinction.
