Local Effective Speaking (ES) Program

Participant(s): All cadets are welcome

Date: Mondays, beginning in the fall of 2023
Time: 1830 - 2030 hrs
Dress:
1. conservative civilian attire
Location: École secondaire catholique Embrun 1276 St Jacques Rd, Embrun, ON K0A 1W0
Material:
1. your voice. 🗣️
2. a bottle of water; and
3. writing materials such as a pen and notebook or laptop;
Details:
1. To provide an opportunity for Air Cadets to increase their self-confidence; and increase their ability to reason, organize and express ideas;
2. To promote the citizenship component of local squadron training;
3. To provide a focus at the Local, Regional/Wing, Provincial/Territorial, and National levels, to promote and encourage Air Cadets to participate in an optional activity that will provide them with an opportunity to acquire effective speaking skills through instruction and practice in a structured and competitive environment;
4. To increase public awareness regarding the citizenship and leadership aspects of the Air Cadet program at the national, provincial and local levels;

How can the Air Cadet experience be made more engaging in the post Covid world?
Because we are seeing a renewed interest and travel into space, how do you see the future of space travel?
Should every student be required to learn at least one additional language?
Should mental health and wellness courses be added to the education program?
What is the greatest current threat to the environment and how do you suggest it be addressed?

Cadet Choice: must fit into one of these categories: Cadet Life, Science and Technology, Aviation, Canadian History or Citizenship.
