Squadron Hours: 

1. Squadron official hours are 1830 - 2130 hrs, on Tuesday nights.  
2. If you send an email outside of this period, it may take a few days to obtain a response. We appreciate your patience as our staff have full-time jobs and families.  
3. If there is an urgent matter that needs to be addressed, do not hesitate to contact Capt Martel at 613-791-1008.

Training Delivery:  

1. Effective immediately, 5 Cyclone Sqn will be holding the following training in-person:
   1. Mandatory Regular Training (Tuesdays);  
   2. Drill Team Practices;
   3. Biathlon Practices;
   4. Marksmanship Team Practices.
2. The following training will continue virtually: 
   1. Effective Speaking;
   2. Ground School; and
   3. Music.
3. Please read the messages below carefully.

Public Health Measures for In-Person Training: 

1. Proof of vaccination is required by all facilities that we use for in-person training as per O. Reg. 364/20: RULES FOR AREAS AT STEP 3 AND AT THE ROADMAP EXIT STEP;
2. The Squadron complies with all public health measures in place;
3. Everyone (13 years old and up) will have on their person, proof of their vaccination status and show it to a Sqn staff member upon request;
4. Either paper or electronic proof of vaccination indicating that they are vaccinated will be accepted;
5. Indoors and outdoors, a distance of 2 meters between individuals must be observed and masks must be worn;
6. Until 13 Mar 22, a maximum of 50 people will be present at one location;
7. A COVID-19 briefing will be given by a staff member to the cadets before each activity;
8. If you have concerns about this or any other public measure, write to Capt Martel directly at [email protected] or call her at 613-791-1008.

​Regular Training Night for Levels 1, 2, and 3 (In-person) 

1. Participant(s):   Levels 1, 2 and 3 (Level 4s and 5 read further down)

4. Time: 1900-2100 hrs
5. Location:   
   1. Marionville Community Centre, 4629 Gregoire Rd, Russell, ON K4R 1E5
   2. Upon arrival, parents are to park at the back of the building and stay in their car;
   3. Cadets will be directed by a senior cadet to the appropriate entrance.
6. Dress:  
   1. Field Training Uniform (FTU) with wedge and mask; orwhite shirt and dark coloured pants and mask if the cadet hasn’t yet been issued FTUs
7. Details:  
   1. COVID-19 Screening:
      1. Prior to leaving home, each cadet must complete this COVID-19 Screening;
      2. If the screening result is “go to school/child care”, go to Squadron Training;
      3. Otherwise, stay home and advise Admin by filling out this form
8. Materials: 
   1. Bring writing materials such as a pen and notebook; and
   2. Bring a water bottle (use of water fountains is not permitted)
9. Parents: 
   1. For reasons of contact tracing, parents must remain in their vehicles when dropping off their cadet. 
   2. If parents have questions, staff members will be available in the parking lot to answer them.

   2. Shooting: Paul-Émile Levésque Centre, 756 Brebeuf St, Casselman, ON K0A 1M0 (Sgt Kimble, FSgt Pershick only).
6. Dress:
   1. Skiing: Appropriate sport/ski attire for the weather.
   2. Shooting: Sgt Kimble, FSgt Pershick only. Appropriate indoor sporting attire for exercising and shooting.
7. Material: Bring a water bottle and food.

   1. Cadets Sgt Kimble, FSgt Pershick only are to wear winter footwear to and from the shooting activity and change into their indoor footwear once on site.
   2. Ski boots will be brought to on-site training this week, 22 Feb 22 to try on. Skis and poles will be brought on 26 Feb 22
