QUESTION 1
Today’s challenge will bring you back to the early 1940s with the introduction of a prominent figure in aviation history.  Elsie MacGill was the first chief aeronautical engineer in the world, and was responsible for the development and mass production of some of the most well known aircraft from this time.

Using the Canadian Aviation and Space Museum’s online exhibit, which outline’s MacGill’s career, answer the following question:

“After leaving her position as Chief Aeronautical Engineer at Canadian Car and Foundry (CFF) MacGill opened an office in Toronto where she continued to work on many prominent projects.  During this time which popular aircraft, still flown today, did she work on converting from a military transport airplane into a civilian aircraft?
